FXCM Sentiment Aggressive Fund – July 02 2008 Update

It’s been a really long time since I last posted regarding the performance of my test FXCM Sentiment Aggressive Fund managed forex account. Well it’s now been 6 months since I joined and I must say that I am not at all impressed with this managed account’s performance so far. I started with $100 and now my equity sits at $756.

It has 3 losing months in a row (Dec 2008 to Feb 2008) with a whopping %15.71 loss for Feb 2008. It then crawled back into the black a bit with a %6.39 for March 2008, then a loss of %4.02 in April. May showed a puny gain of %1.12.

So like I’ve said, I’m not happy with the performance at all. The only possible excuse for the poor performance is that the current market conditions are very tough to trade in, especially due to the high volatility.

I think what I will do is give it a few more months and then decide whether to drop this manged forex account or to keep it. I’m almost 100% sure June will turn out to be a big negative month. The final performance result should be updated on their website soon hopefully, so check there.
