Hello there. Just a quick post to let you all know that I got a copy of The Forex Robot World Cup “Fusion-V 1.1a” EA. The organizers of The Forex Robot World Cup (from here on referred to as FRWC) say Fusion-V 1.1a is their best performing EA and I’m curious to test this claim for myself.
First I should mention that I have some doubts and hesitations regarding this EA. Someone on the Forex Nirvana Forum FWRC thread that this EA is heavily optimized – ie curve fitted – for recent market conditions. This means that if the dynamics of the market change this EA will eventually blow up in your face.
To test this possibility I’ve decided to add it to a long term demo test account. I have not decided on which broker I’m going to test it but it’s probably going to be one with the lowest spreads possible. I have in mind MB Trading but they seem to have a habit of deleting demo accounts which leads me to believe that they’re not unlimited demo accounts. So what I probably do is test Fusion-V 1.1a on MB Trading for a month, and use a different broker for the long term test.
If six to eight months from now this EA is still making money then I’d feel more comfortable putting it on a live account. I’ll keep you all up-to-date on my testing both here and also on the Forex Nirvana forum. By the way, if you already own this this EA please consider joining the forum and sharing your experience and findings.
